Class details

Gnosis classes in Melbourne's eastern suburbs at a glance

The Vermont South Gnostic Centre brings the Gnostic teachings to Melbourne's east — Vermont South, Glen Waverley, Wantirna, Wheelers Hill, Mount Waverley and Burwood East. Courses usually open at a community venue in the area — currently Mount Street Neighbourhood House in Glen Waverley — and continue as weekly classes hosted at a home nearby, with the address shared when you register. Students travel from right across Melbourne to study with us — some from as far as Healesville, the inner suburbs and Point Cook.

Classes run Thursday evenings and work through the topics of our introductory Gnosis course: psychology, ontology, esotericism and cosmology. New to this? Start with what Gnosis is, or read our frequently asked questions.

Common questions

Vermont South Gnostic Centre FAQ

Where are Gnosis classes held in Melbourne's east?

Courses usually open at a community venue in the area — currently Mount Street Neighbourhood House in Glen Waverley, a public venue with parking. Weekly classes then continue at a home nearby in Wantirna.

Why isn't the weekly class address published?

Ongoing classes meet at a private home, so the address is shared with you when you register. Email contact@melbournegnosis.com or use the form on this page.

Which night do classes run?

Thursdays, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. Each class builds on the last through practical exercises, so weekly attendance is encouraged.

How much do the classes cost?

When a new course opens, the first two weeks are free. Ongoing classes ask $15–20 a week to help cover costs — cost should never be a barrier to study, so talk to us if that's difficult.

Do I need experience or particular beliefs to attend?

No. Gnosis is knowledge discovered through your own inner experience rather than belief or theory. Curiosity is the only prerequisite — read about what Gnosis is.

What will I learn?

The course explores four threads — psychology, ontology, esotericism and cosmology — drawn from the teachings of Samael Aun Weor. See the full list of topics we study.
