Gnosis is the divine wisdom that resides within us all, expressed through science, philosophy, art and mysticism. The course draws on a wide range of subjects including psychology, meditation, the awakening of consciousness, cosmology, Gnostic anthropology, Kabbalah, alchemy and astral travel.

What will the free introductory talks cover?
Monday 21 September — Introduction to Gnosis
Gnosis is a Greek word meaning knowledge, and specifically knowledge of an intuitive nature, gained through direct personal experience rather than belief or study alone. Found at the heart of the world’s spiritual traditions, Gnosis is a practical path of self-knowledge that uses meditation, self-observation and inner work to awaken consciousness and to truly know ourselves as a soul or divine spark.
The knowledge of oneself allows us at the same time to discover the mysteries of life and death and the origin of the universe, for we are consubstantial with the universe, one is contained in the other.

Monday 28 September — The Four Ways
The Four Ways describe the three well-known paths to enlightenment, and the lesser-known Fourth Way, or esoteric path, which encompasses them all. While the first three ways require withdrawal from secular life, the Fourth Way uses daily life itself as a school to achieve a profound psychological and spiritual transformation.

Where is the course held?
The introductory talks are held at the Strathdale Community Centre at 155 Crook St, Strathdale, about five minutes east of the Bendigo city centre. The centre has on-site parking and accessible entry.
After the two introductory talks, ongoing classes move to a private venue in Bendigo. The address is provided when you register. The course is run by the Bendigo Gnostic Centre.
What happens after the introductory talks?
For those who wish to continue, the course runs weekly on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 9pm. Each class consists of a talk and a guided meditation, with practical tools to support your inner work between classes.
A suggested donation of $15 per class helps cover our running costs, so the course stays accessible to everyone.
